Once graduating from high school, I continued toward my associate degree in system administration. While attending NWTC I continue to advance my career taking jobs of increasing responsibility.

Extensive experience building and supporting redundant Microsoft, Linux, and Azure workloads. Record of successes in leading operations teams in supporting projects in automation, M&A, digital transformation, modernization, app development, continuous improvement, and cloud implementation while managing customer expectations and meeting delivery commitments. Focused on streamlining processes and enhancing efficiencies while following and improving best practices. Proven ability to combine technical leadership with customer focus to improve customer experience. Respected team player, self-starter, and multi-tasker who is well-organized and likes to think outside-of-the-box.

When I am not working I enjoy relaxing outdoors. I enjoy traveling and try to go to a new country every year.

Projects

HRMS Integration

Developed an HRMS integration program, using PowerShell, that ensured information between Workday and Active Directory was kept in sync. This integration was also used to automate the employee creation and termination processes once entered in Workday. This provided tight security, access controls, and automation for an otherwise manual process.

End User Support Portal

Developed a portal that delegated tasks to the End User Support team. This provided the freedom to do administrative tasks such as User Creation, User Termination, OneDrive Delegation, License Assignment, and more. All of this was accomplished while keeping permissions at a minimum. This allowed for more defined roles in the IT Department with delegation.

Acquisition Integration Management

Developed and lead an IT Integration plan for a large international organization after acquisition. This integration consisted of bringing hundreds of employees, endpoints, servers, and cultures under the corporate umbrella and abiding by GDPR compliance policies. This was accomplished with minimal business and productivity interruption.

Azure Front Door Architecture

Implemented Azure Front Door to provide a secure connection to our hosted web environments. This required rearchitecting the security policies, web routes, developing Terraform scripts for automated deployment, and implementing Cloudflare DNS for a smooth transition.

Disaster Recover Strategy

Developed a robust disaster recovery strategy that allowed the organization to remain resilient in the event of an emergency. Leveraging multiple vendors and redundancies there is minimal loss of productivity and information from a variety of systems including Windows Server, VMWare, IBM iSeries, and Azure. The strategy was developed to be a seamless and automated transition to alleviate any manual intervention.

Cloud Adoption Architecture

Developed organization wide cloud adoption policy, cost decision framwork, and implementation. Migrated entire UK datacenter to Microsoft Azure with minimal downtime and no business impact. Leveraging several different Microsoft and custom PowerShell tools. This migration was able to eliminate all onsite infrastructure except networking devices. IT hardware spend is limited to client and network implementations only.

SharePoint Migration and Modernization

Developed process and lead multiple enterprise wide SharePoint migration. These migration spanned from on premise SharePoint version upgrades, to migrations to SharePoint Online. Developed a process that would convert legacy pages and webparts to SharePoint Online modernizated pages. This also covered the migration and implementation of Power Apps and Power Automate to accomodate custom forms and workflows.

Multi-Cloud Strategy

Worked with internal team to develop a strategy to accomdate an Azure tenant that spans multiple clouds (Commercial, GCC, GCC-High). This would enable to business users who do not require GCCH regulation to have access to the features and benefits of the commercial tenant, while still maintaining communication and presence of all tenants.
